1998 FIGO Award of the International Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics for the best clinical research article from a developing country, entitled »Takač I, Marin J, Gorišek B. Human papillomavirus 16 and 18 infection of the uterine cervix in women with different grades of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN). Int J Gynecol Obstet 1998; 61: 269-73«.

 

2013 Award of the Senate of Maribor University »Bronze sign of Maribor University« for exceptional achievement on the fields of oncology and human reproduction, which have been proposed by members of Health councils at Agency for research of Republic Slovenia, on the basis of review of final and yearly reports of the research projects and programms for the year 2011. As the exceptional achievement was recognised the coauthorship in the article »Adjuvant trastuzumab in HER2-positive breast cancer«, which has been published in The New England Journal of Medicine 2011; 365: 1273-83, with the impact factor JCR = 53.298.
